Whether it's Carp, Match, Pike or general Coarse fishing, there are many fisheries to choose from in Cornwall. We have details of a few of them here but if you would like a more comprehensive guide then the book "Get Hooked" Guide to Angling, priced at £2.99 may be more suitable. 

Before fishing anywhere you must ensure that you have your National Rod License (Except in waters where a general license is in force - please check with the owner of the fishery in advance) Licenses are available from all Post Offices or you can purchase them over the phone with Credit/Debit Card.

South West Lakes Trust Fisheries

Argal - Nr Falmouth. Argal is a well established coarse fishery stocked with numerous Carp of 30lb +, Pike over 20lb also Tench, Bream, Roach, Rudd, Perch and Eels. Boilies do well along with sweet corn, all meats and a good ground bait. The site has public lavatories, children's play area and picnic tables. Open all year, 24 hours a day. Southwest Lakes Trust fisheries are well sign posted from major roads.

Boscathnoe - Penzance. A secluded fishery, with large lily pads. Well stocked with roach, bream, common, mirror and crucian carp with some fish into the low 20lb range. Floating crust can do well in the summer months. Open all year, 1hour before sunset to 1 hour after sunset.

Bussow - St. Ives. The last of the south west lakes trust fisheries listed here, this fishery is ideal for holiday anglers staying close to St. Ives and Penzance. Rudd to 1½lb, roach, bream, and carp. Open all year, 24 hours a day.

Marazion Angling Club Waters. Nr Hayle

St.Erth Fishery - 3,acres. Bills Pool - 2.5 acres. Wheal Grey - 4 acres. Species: Carp, Bream, Tench, Roach, Rudd, Perch. Permits must be obtained before fishing (available at County Angler). Open all year from dawn until dusk. Night fishing by appointment only. Matches are held regularly throughout the year. Barbless Hooks only and best baits include: maggot, worm, pellet, sweet corn, meat, Boilies, nuts.

Three Mile Stone Angling Club. Nr Truro

Langarth Pools - One Carp and one Match Lake. Species include: Carp, Tench, Roach, Rudd, Bream, Perch and Goldfish. Day permits available on site. Open all year. No night fishing. Barbless Hooks only. No nuts etc. Please check before fishing as matches do take place with Club Anglers.

Nance Lakes. Nr Lelant. St.Ives. No EA License required to fish this water. Three Lakes of various sizes, species include: Carp, Roach, Bream. Permits available on site and evening tickets available. Barbless hooks only and no keep nets unless fishing a competition.
